Saegreifinn

Saegreifinn (Geirsgata 8, Reykjavik) – located with the old harbor district (near the city center), this sparsely-decorated restaurant’s name, which means “sea baron”, was launched by a former fisherman (Kjartan Halldórsson) who, after making innovative sea food meals for the local coast guard, decided to open his own restaurant. Halldórsson is best-known for his lobster soup. Mink Whale, Angler, Catfish, Cod, Skate, Lobster, Halibut, Salmon, Lemon Sole, Plaice, Blue Ling, River Trout, and smoked Eel are also served there.
